Unfortunately, since we are unable to find a suitable location for the start of the school in August 2015 in KL itself, we are having to put back the project until August 2016. We are therefore suggesting to parents that they may wish to consider sending their children to our sister school in Neustadt for the interim year and have already received a positive response from a number of parents.
For those pioneer families, we will be offering a free bus service between Kaiserslautern and the International School Neustadt for the 2015-2016 school year. This bus service will be provided by SBW and the ZukunftsRegion Westpfalz. The pick-up place will probably be the parking area in front of Ramstein Airbase (though we are flexible here) and the journey time will be approx. 50mins. To give you an indication of the times, we will probably leave Ramstein at 07.30 and return at 17.00 (departing ISN at 16.00). A pick up point in Kaiserslautern is also possible. Furthermore we will be wavering the School Development Fee for the first year which will be payable only when the ISKL campus opens in August 2016.
We would like to make it clear that SBW, the city of Kaiserslautern and ZukunftsRegion Westpfalz are one hundred percent dedicated to the International School Kaiserslautern project. Despite the initial hiccups, we are both confident and enthusiastic, and look forward to opening our doors in August 2016.
If you are interested in attending our school in Neustadt and making use of the bus service, please let us know and we will send you our separate information/registration pack. We can also offer you a free trial week at Neustadt at any time that suits you. Naturally, if you have any questions or feedback, please feel free to contact us.
